Student Experience at AP-S/URSI 2017

Students are the future. Each year the Steering Committee strives to provide a program that encourages the professional growth of its future leaders. Student opportunities at AP-S/URSI 2017 include: the Young Professionals’ Beach Blast, volunteer opportunities, and student competitions.

Young Professionals’ Beach Blast:

The Young Professionals’ Beach Blast on Monday, July 10 at the Kona Kai Resort & Marina is open to all Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD). Enjoy beach games (beach volleyball, corn hole and ladder ball, to name a few), live music, sitting by one of their fire pits and a buffet dinner. A limited number of passes will be available for use of the hotel’s pool.

Student Volunteer Opportunities:

Volunteers aid in the efficient operation of a conference by being available to assist when a need arises. AP-S/URSI 2017 needs student volunteers for a variety of activities. Volunteers will be selected on a first come, first served basis. Please select the number of shifts to fulfill the amount of time required. Please click the link below for more information on tasks, benefits, and sign-up. And if you are in San Diego “pre-symposium,” please add some time on Saturday afternoon to assist with collating the symposium kits.
